FACILITIES

Here you can read about the sports facilities at DTU and find useful information about closures, lockers, outdoor courts, and the allocation of hall times. Additionally, at the bottom of the page, you will find information about facilities and activities at the Risø and Ballerup Campuses.   

Lyngby - Closures

The sports hall, fitness center, climbing club, and changing rooms are closed during official DTU events. Closure dates are announced in the news feed on the homepage, on DTU Sports' Facebook page, and with notices posted at and around the sports hall.

lyngby - lockers

The lockers are located in the basement corridor under the sports hall and in the changing rooms. They are locked and unlocked with your access card.

Note: The university or DTU Sport does not cover theft from the lockers. Do not store valuables in the lockers, as thefts can occur.

Price and Payment: The lockers are free to use.

Contact: CAS Service Center is responsible for the administration of the lockers.

Contact CAS Service Center by calling 4525 2525 or email CAS-FM@dtu.dk for locker issues or other complaints regarding the use of the lockers.

CAS Service Center's opening hours are: Mon-Fri: 07:00-15:00 Sat, Sun, and holidays: Closed.

Defective lockers should be reported via DTU's error reporting app.

Lyngby - Dance hall in building 208 at dtu

Welcome to the center for dance activities at DTU! Building 208 houses a state-of-the-art dance hall, managed by DTU Sport and primarily used by DTU Dancing, our passionate dance club. This facility is designed as a dynamic and inclusive space where students can explore a variety of dance genres, including Argentine Tango, Zumba, Bachata, Modern Dance, Hip Hop, Salsa, Standard & Latin, and Swing.

In addition to the advanced dance hall, the facility also offers changing rooms with lockers for secure storage of personal belongings, a well-equipped tea kitchen, and a storeroom for DTU Dancing's equipment. The dance hall is equipped with a highly modern sound system with Bluetooth connectivity.

To ensure an optimal user experience, we have implemented specific guidelines: Outdoor shoes are prohibited to protect the specially designed floor, and we expect all members to leave the premises clean and tidy. Access to the facilities is exclusive to members of DTU Dancing, who are encouraged to act responsibly and show respect for the facilities and each other.

lyngby - Outdoor playing field near Building 230

The sports field was previously open from 12.04.2022 and closed on 04.11.2022.

DTU Sport currently has a rugby field and an 11-a-side soccer field, which is marked to also be used as two 7-a-side fields. The fields are in high demand and are primarily reserved for dormitory football as well as for DTU's staff and students.

When is the field open

The field is closed due to construction.

Locker rooms

There are two changing rooms for men and one for women (referees). Clubs under DTU Sport, as well as DTU staff and students, can borrow a key by personally contacting the hall inspector with a deposit of 300 DKK.

Rugby field 

DTU Exiles Rugby has booked the rugby field for the entire season. Any use by other people is at their your own risk, as the playing field can be very uneven. Before leaving the field, any goals must be removed from the field.

Beachvolley and basketball courts

Contact DTU Volley and DTU Basketball if you want to be sure that the courts are not used by the clubs. See the overview here.

lyngby - court times

The hall is booked every day of the week from morning until evening and is not available for rental or borrowing. 

During daytime hours, the hall is reserved for DTU Sports' fitness classes, soccer, and badminton. In the later hours, the hall is reserved for club sports.

Court 1 in the badminton hall is the one closest to the conference center, which is the western end of the hall.

Risø - Closures

Any closures or other relevant information about the centre will be announced on notices posted on the door to the centre.

risø - Lockers

DTU Sport has a total of 12 steel lockers in both the women’s and men’s changing rooms. The lockers are intended for storing sportswear etc. while you are working out in the fitness centre. The locker must be emptied and ready for the next guest when you leave the centre.

Note! Theft from the lockers is not covered by the University or DTU Sport. To prevent theft, do not leave valuables in the lockers.
