DTU FITNESS, RISØ

Everyday - 05.00-22.45

Located in Building 116 (below the canteen), the fitness centre boasts new body bikes and fitness equipment of the highest quality. The fitness centre opened in November 2013 following a refurbishment, which also included the women's and men's locker rooms. The centre is open from 5.00  – 22.45 p.m. seven days a week. The philosophy behind the fitness centre is to give users a say in how the centre should be, but, in return, we expect them to also take joint responsibility for the centre, handle the equipment properly, and clean up after themselves. If the users live up to this, it will be possible to continuously upgrade the centre, and also to keep the membership fee at an attractive level.

YOGA, RISØ
Monday - 15.30-16.45

Yin yoga mixes traditional yoga and immersion with recent research on the nervous system and connective tissue. We include elements from physiotherapy and mobility training and work to strengthen mobility, stability and body awareness, using fx. active stretches and a lot of props. Functional Yoga includes the familiar yoga postures, balances, and flows, but we build up to them, constantly activating the body and nervous system in new ways. You will become strong and agile in a way where you can use your body in end-range positions and be injury free in the long run. We also play with the poses, and test the body - there are no forbidden movements in functional yoga.

Yin yoga is an inclusive form of yoga that is relevant for both experienced yoga practitioners and beginners, as well as people with various physical challenges Everyone is welcome!
Registration for the individual hours must be done via the booking module.
Instructor: Christina Theilgaard. Read more about Jane here
